OVERVIEW
What Would Chagall Do?
I approached this at the piano, building a harmonic pattern simple enough to return to without exhausting it. While I was playing, I kept wondering what it would sound like if Chagall treated timbre the way he treated color. That question led me to the soft but bright timbre of an electric piano. While in the process of developing the tune, a bomba chant found its place in the background, circular and grounded. That groove kept everything in motion, and this is the result!

LYRICS
Anna darling don’t you go towards the light
Yes, you can stay here for a while, you can fight this war
Anna darling I’ll be here by your side
No, I won’t walk out of that door, ‘til you win this war
Soon, you’ll be home again
Bright skies, laughing with our friends
